Texas-Built Dump Trailers for Real Work
Walk our lot at 1770 S. Santa Clara Rd. and you will notice a pattern: most of the dump trailers lined up are Texas Pride. That is on purpose. Texas Pride has built trailers in Madisonville, Texas since 1998, and their dumps match the work we see every day across Guadalupe County and the I-10 corridor: hauling caliche and road base, clearing cedar and brush, spreading gravel on ranch roads, and cleaning out job sites from Seguin to San Antonio.
This page explains how a Texas Pride dump is built, how to read the model codes on our listings, and how to pick the right size for your truck and your loads.

How Texas Pride Builds a Dump Trailer
A family-owned manufacturer that builds to order with heavy American steel. Here is what that looks like on the trailers you can walk around on our lot.
Self-Contained Hydraulics
Electric-over-hydraulic pump and deep-cycle battery in a locking tongue box, a corded remote, and an onboard charger that tops off the battery while you tow.
Barn Doors Standard
Double swing rear doors open wide for dumping and loading equipment. Add a spreader gate to lay material out evenly on a driveway or pad.
Stout Floor and Frame
Tubing main rails, 3-inch channel crossmembers and a steel floor, with a thicker 3/16-inch floor available for rock and demolition work.
Brakes on Every Axle
Electric brakes on all axles, slipper-spring suspension, and sealed LED lights on a sealed wiring harness.
A Real Paint Job
Primed first, then finished in automotive-grade acrylic enamel.
How to Read a Texas Pride Model Code
Every Texas Pride dump in our inventory carries a code that tells you most of what you need before you click. Here is DT716416KBP, broken down:
(GN = gooseneck)
So a DT712316KBP is a 7x12 bumper pull with 3 ft sides, and a DT716416KGN is a 7x16 gooseneck with 4 ft sides. Codes starting with EQ are Texas Pride flatbeds.
Which Size Dump Trailer Do You Need?
Most of our Texas Pride dumps are 7 ft wide and rated at 16,000 lb GVWR. The real choice is bed length and side height.
Homeowners, tight driveways, backyard and small landscape jobs.
Shortest and easiest to back into tight spots.
Landscapers, roofers, fence crews and general contractors.
The all-around size most buyers pick.
Brush clearing, mulch, cleanouts and demolition debris.
Most volume per trip for bulky, lighter loads.
Side height is about volume, not weight
With dense material you run out of payload long before you run out of box. Three foot sides are plenty for rock; 4 ft sides pay off on brush, mulch and trash. Check the VIN tag on any unit for its exact empty weight and payload.
Bumper Pull or Gooseneck?
Hooks to the receiver you already have and is easier to swap between trucks.
Puts the tongue weight over your rear axle, which steadies a full load on I-10 or I-35 and tightens your turning radius on job sites. If you already have a gooseneck ball and haul heavy most days, it is worth the small price difference.
Either way, make sure your truck and hitch are rated for the trailer's full loaded weight.
Telescopic or Dual-Cylinder Hoist?
A multi-stage cylinder at the front of the bed that lifts steeply to empty sticky loads like wet dirt, then lowers by gravity.
Two cylinders under the bed power the box both up and down. Common on Texas Pride's heavier builds.
Each listing shows its hoist type, or ask us and we will walk you through the difference in person.
Heavier Texas Pride Builds
Need more than a 16K? Texas Pride also builds 14K tandem dumps, 27K triple-axle dumps, and a 26K high-side deckover dump with sides from 48 up to 96 inches, plus roll-off dump systems with interchangeable dumpsters. Ask us about sizes that are not on the lot today.
Texas Pride Flatbeds
Alongside the dumps we stock Texas Pride flatbeds (EQ models) in 20 and 22 ft lengths at 16K GVWR, bumper pull and gooseneck. A solid choice for a skid steer, a compact tractor, pallets of feed or fencing materials.

What does 16K GVWR mean?
GVWR is the maximum the trailer can weigh fully loaded, trailer included. Subtract the empty weight on the VIN tag to get your usable payload.
